Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak

Drinking allowed at Bangkok restaurants till 11 p.m. from Dec. 1

THE BANGKOK Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced on its Facebook page today (Nov. 29) that drinking at restaurants will be allowed to continue till 11 p.m. from Dec. 1 but entertainment venues will remain shut till Dec. 31, Sanook.com said.

BMA’s Communicable Disease Committee passed a three-point resolution at its meeting on Friday Nov. 26 as follows:

– Restaurants may serve alcoholic beverages till 11 p.m.;

– Places previously closed (pubs, bars and karaoke lounges) will remain so till Dec. 31, 2021;

– Games and other competitive activities now allowed to resume by the Interior Ministry may take place but permission must be obtained from this ministry and Public Health Ministry with participants having to comply with Covid control measures.

Meanwhile the Public Health Ministry said early this morning that there were 4,753 coronavirus cases and 27 deaths over the past 24 hours with this taking the cumulative confirmed total since April 1 to 2,082,703 and from the onset of the pandemic 2,111,566.

Today’s 27 fatalities raised the death toll to 20,734.

Another 6,165 patients were cured taking total recoveries since April 1 to 1,985,595 while 77,811 patients are still undergoing treatment.
