Billboards welcoming Prayut to Krabi slashed and torn

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

ROADSIDE BILLBOARDS welcoming Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha were slashed and torn by unknown persons in downtown Krabi, police said today (Nov. 15).

Several welcome signs temporarily erected at roadside spots in the capital district of the southern province greeting the visiting Prayut and cabinet members were obviously impaired by a few unknown persons in a wee hour of Monday, the police said.

The suspected perpetrators, believed to be local adolescents, made off from the scenes in a couple of sedans, the police said.

Prayut and the cabinet members were scheduled to attend a roving cabinet meeting in Krabi today and tomorrow as well as to visit places in the southern tourist province and a neighbouring Trang.
