Thammasat University medical student infected with Covid-19

AN urgent announcement was issued by Thammasat University’s Facebook page Thammasat Today this morning (Feb. 16) that it has been confirmed a medical student at the Rangsit campus has got infected with coronavirus, Sanook.com reported.

The initial announcement said, “Urgent! A medical student at TU’s Rangsit campus has caught Covid-19. Confirmation will be made through various Line groups.”

A Line app message later confirmed that it is true this student is infected with the feared virus. Students were urged to be careful and refrain from going to crowded places.

Later the university’s Facebook page posted a warning from a doctor at Thammasat Hospital that many people at high risk of contracting coronavirus had come to the hospital and to avoid traveling near the complex.
