Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak

Demonstration starts at Thammasat University Tha Prachan campus

LEADERS of the demonstrators, who call themselves Thammasat Alliance and their rally “September 19 Reclaiming People’s Power”, were to start giving speeches from 2 p.m. onwards at Thammasat University Tha Prachan campus’ football field, Thai Rath newspaper reported today (Sept. 19, 2020).

The demonstrators had pushed their way into campus through the gate after cutting the chain that kept it shut at 1.38 p.m. with their leaders being on hand to welcome them.

The demonstrators had massed at the gate but officials refused to open it. However they finally told the mob to open the gate themselves but they would be taking photos of them doing, which they did with a pair of nippers.

Mr. Panupong Chadnok, or Mike Rayong, and  Mr. Parit Chivarak, or Penguin, the leaders of the the Thammasat Alliance, were there to welcome the demonstrators flooding the campus.

Meanwhile Pol.Maj.Gen. Supathee Boonkrong, head of Provincial Police Region 1, together with over 50 officers seized 50,000 books of the Free Youth movement from two six-wheel trucks just as they were leaving a housing estate at the rear of Thammasat University Rangsit campus and took them to Border Patrol Police Division 1.

They later let the two trucks, which were also carrying sound equipment, to proceed to this university’s Tha Prachan campus.

Rangsima Rome, a Move Forward Party MP, said officials had taken the books to examine them. The officials had said the books will be combined with both old and new cases, but no new cases had been filed yet.
